The
function of a forum!
Giving and receiving information on a
specific topic.
Forums,
also known as Message Boards are for Internet Users
to communicate with each other on a variety of subjects.
They
vary on their subject matter and how they are
administered. Some can be a free for all and others need to have all
the
messages vetted, in other words they need to be approved by the
administrator
before being posted.
Forums
have their own language. For example, a message is
called a thread and threads follow particular topics. If you were to
look at
one about computers, there might be a topic about operating systems.
You can
read all the threads or posts on that particular subject of discussion.
If you
can contribute to the topic, that's great.
You
don't want to enter a topic about computers and then
write your thread about organic vegetables. It's important to follow
the
threads and keep your contributions to the discussion appropriate for
the
subject matter.
Most
forums you have to register in order to participate.
Once the administrator has approved you as a member you'll then be
required to
login in order to participate in the conversations.
What
do people use message boards for?
The
answer to this is varied and it depends on the type you
visit. Lots of people use them to get questions answered or to get help
from
other members.
Maybe
you just want to communicate with other people who
share the same interest as you.
Whatever
your interest, you will no doubt find a forum in
which to participate.
Using
forums to ask questions is fantastic and also you look
really good in the eyes of the membership if you can answer a question
posed by
another member. It's about making a valuable contribution to the
discussions.
Message boards and forums are not
for bickering, being unkind, or pushing you agenda. Becoming a member
who
brings good ideas and helps by contributing value will be looked on
with
respect and your participation will be appreciated.

Instructions to joining these forums
To
sign up for the forum you will
need to visit the button that is labeled 'Register'. This link is
settled on
the top of the page close to the 'Log-In' button.
This button will take
you to
another page where you are able to present them all of the expected
information. This info will be your e-mail address, birth date, time
zone, and
username. Anything that has an asterisk beside it is needed. Once you
have
filled out the form click 'Submit'.
Once the form has
been accepted
they will give you an e-mail straightaway that will require you to
confirm the
account you made. In the e-mail you will click on the web address they
send
which will confirm your e-mail to ensure that you are an actual person.
At Once you have an
established

This

You are instantly
ready to

let
individuals know who you are. After this you are able to join in on any
